How to Score High in IBPS CWE 2013 for Clerks, POs and RRBs?

The common entrance test notification for clerical posts in banks has been released by IBPS following the schedule. The previous last two years entrance tests have also been conducted almost at the same time as of now.
There is almost 100 days time for the first phase exams that are going to be conducted on 30th November. This time is more than enough for preparation to even those candidates who are attempting first time to write this test and become successful.

Planning: These 100 days should be utilized properly for preparation with good planning for the exam. This time can be divided into three parts. 1. Learning 2. Practice 3.Time management.

1. Learning: The first 30 or 40 days should be used to learn the basic concepts of reasoning, arithmetic and English as given in the examination. In arithmetic percentages, LCM&HCF, averages, interest, profit & loss, time and work, time and distance, ratios should be learnt. For this 4th to 10th class math’s books are very useful.
In reasoning-directions, seating arrangements, blood relations, coding-decoding, alphabet-number series, and logical vein pictures should be learnt.
For English paper-grammar should be learnt. Every day one should learn 4 to 5 new words along with synonyms and antonyms related to those words. One should also read English newspaper for at least two hours every day. With this, reading speed increases and one can easily go through the comprehension quickly and identify the answers in the examination. By reading English newspapers one can also improve their general awareness and current affairs knowledge.
2. Practice: After learning the basic concepts one should start practicing different questions in them. For this one can rely on the books available in market on reasoning, arithmetic/quantitative aptitude and English books. At the same time one should observe the old question papers to find out what type of questions are being generally asked to practice them.
3. Time management:  Candidates should qualify in all the three sections separately, so the time allotted for the exam 2 hours should be carefully used for answering all the three sections and candidates should manage the given time effectively to cover all the sections and allot more time for those questions that are complex. So the candidates can segregate the time by allotting 40 minutes to numerical ability, 35 minutes to reasoning, 25 minutes to English, 10 minutes to general awareness and 10 minutes to computer knowledge sections. This is just an example and based on their strength, candidates can allot time accordingly to completely the paper successfully in the allotted 2 hours time.
At least 30 days before the exam, candidates should practice model papers by allotting the time as they wish for each section. Candidates should observe how many questions they are able to complete in the allotted time and accordingly increase their speed to cover all the questions given in the examination. For example, candidate need to observe how many questions they are able to complete in numerical ability in the time they have allotted for that subject and do more practice to increase the number of questions being attempted by them.

Practice for all the three IBPS examinations

Along with this notification for clerical posts there is also enough time to practice for the already released notifications by IBPS-RRBS and IBPS-PO examinations. There is 30 days time for RRBS and 60 days time for the PO examinations. If we observe the three examination patterns they have common subjects.
Reasoning, quantitative aptitude/numerical ability, English, general awareness, computer knowledge subjects are covered in all these three examinations. So, practicing for one exam is almost enough to write the other exams too. So, those who are writing these three exams should plan their preparation according to the time available for each exam.
First one should aim for the RRBS officer and officer assistant exams and prepare accordingly. Compared to IBPS, PO and clerical exams the time for RRBS officer and office assistant examinations have more time 2 ½ hours given to write the exam. But still one should practice to do the examination in 2 hours itself. After writing these exams then one can concentrate on IBPS-PO examination and after that for the clerical posts.
With the notifications being released at the same time for the three examinations and having similar subjects candidates can prepare themselves in short time to attempt all the three exams successfully.
